Combining functionality and fundraising in nonprofit website redesign

Redesigning any website is a complex undertaking. Now imagine having to find a streamlined, intuitive way to represent nearly 180 diverse programs and services. That was the first of many exciting challenges we faced with a full website redesign for Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens (CCBQ).

CCBQ is a pioneer social service agency and is the second largest Catholic Charities in the United States. The mission of CCBQ is tremendously powerful, reaching 110,000 individuals in Brooklyn and Queens every year. Because of this huge and diverse community, the organization needed a site that could easily convey its vast services and the need for continued support.

We set out to rebuild the entire site to combine state of the art functionality with a fresh, engaging new look to expand CCBQ's online fundraising efforts.

Using a keen understanding of nonprofit web design and web development, our skilled team created the site in Drupal 6 with an array of new features like language translation and custom donation processing. CCBQ's online fundraising capabilities were completely revamped; the homepage now provides intuitive pathways to giving and a wealth of donation options including monthly and planned giving.

The new site also creates avenues for social media marketing that did not exist before. CCBQ's new social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube should prove to be very rewarding for future cultivation efforts.

We are very proud of our redesign project for CCBQ and will continue working with them to improve and update the site, as well as spearhead their email fundraising and marketing efforts.
