Challenge:
Northeast Animal Shelter is one of the largest no-kill shelters in New England and is always looking for ways to emphasize the importance of adoption while acquiring new donors.
Solution:
The Tails of Love Contest invited the Northeast Animal Shelter community to share their stories of pet adoption from the Shelter for the chance to win a prize and have the story featured in a future newsletter. Once users submitted a pet story and picture, they could spread the word about the contest and about the Shelter’s mission through Facebook, Twitter, and email.
The contest finalists were voted on by the public, adding extra incentive for this messaging to go viral. This method also provided several key opportunities to insert asks for monthly gifts, which provide much-needed ongoing resources to the Shelter.
Northeast Animal Shelter is one of New England’s largest no-kill animal shelters. We wanted to provide the organization with a way to reach new audiences, raise funds for the shelter, and personalize its message.
Solution:
We created holiday eCards for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Valentine’s Day that could be personalized and featured pictures of rescued pets from the Shelter. Not only are eCards a great way to acquire new donors by spreading awareness of the organization’s mission, they also help renew previous donors with an additional gift.
