Challenge:

Northeast Animal Shelter is one of the largest no-kill shelters in New England and is always looking for ways to emphasize the importance of adoption while acquiring new donors.

Solution:

The Tails of Love Contest invited the Northeast Animal Shelter community to share their stories of pet adoption from the Shelter for the chance to win a prize and have the story featured in a future newsletter. Once users submitted a pet story and picture, they could spread the word about the contest and about the Shelter’s mission through Facebook, Twitter, and email.

The contest finalists were voted on by the public, adding extra incentive for this messaging to go viral. This method also provided several key opportunities to insert asks for monthly gifts, which provide much-needed ongoing resources to the Shelter.
