Have you ever had those moments when clicking the Facebook “Like” button for a social cause just didn’t seem quite right? (If not, that’s fine too.) After all, you may “care” about animal cruelty, but that doesn’t mean you “like” it. That’s the predicament DDB New York is trying to solve with the launch of a new sharable “I Care” button.
Today kicks off a major overhaul to Facebook pages. Individuals adopted what is being called the “Timeline” about a month ago, but today all pages will automatically switch. As with any change in technology, there are some great opportunities for nonprofits, and some strategic decisions to be made.
Facebook has created new features for its Nonprofit Resource Center, including downloads like a Pages Manual and a more general guide to increase your organization's presence on the social network.
